Digital Partner Commitment
Sunset Tower Hotel uses TravelClick’s iHotelier booking engine for digital room reservation transactions. We are proud to partner with TravelClick as they have also committed to digital accessibility and have taken steps to be compliant with the current standards. As of November 2017, iHotelier Booking Engine 4.0 and Area Search can be accessed and used by “JAWS”, the most popular screen reader used by those who are visually impaired. TravelClick is in the process of remediating it’s iHotelier Booking Engine 4.0 and Area Search to comply with the WCAG standards.
Taking Action & Ongoing Efforts
Sunset Tower Hotel performs ongoing audits to our site using live testers and makes efforts to implement the necessary changes to make our site accessible to everyone including anyone using a screen reader, magnifier, voice recognition software, captions, alternative text and other assistive devices. We are working diligently to make these updates in a timely fashion and will continuously audit and update our site. Seated Reservation for guests in Wheelchair – Special Attention to all guests with needs.
Any documented Service Animal is allowed in the hotel at no additional charge. Guests will be responsible for expenses relating to any damage caused by an animal in the room.
ADA Guest Rooms at Sunset Tower Hotel include:
• Wheelchair compliant entryway and space in room (wheelchairs can roll freely around the room without interference from furniture).
• Bathtubs with bars and/or a roll in shower with shower seat
• Low eye hole viewer on entry doors
• Lower shelving, safe, minibar, closet bar and beds
• Thermostats and light switches at a lower unobstructed level
• Brail signage
• Closed Captioning available on televisions
• TTY device for telephone
• Flashing light and audible alert devices in room in the event of fire or other emergency
Additional ADA Compliant Property Amenities:
• Main entry to Hotel lobby & Registration area, Terrace, Joanna Vargas Spa, Tower Bar and Lobby level Restrooms are Wheelchair accessible via a lift at Valet Entrance.
• Accessible vehicles can be accommodated by Valet.
• Wheelchair available to guests.
• Hearing/Sight Impaired Device (vibrating and flashes) for alarm and doorbell – for blind and/or hearing impaired guests.
• Pool Lift to assist guests into and out of the pool.
• Accessible dining tables in Restaurant and lowered counter at Bar.
